Omg. I'm fascinated by that show. Mostly the concept, not the people. The only ones I actually found acceptable were when there was a really large family of 7 or 9 people or something (even then, their stockpiles were ridiculous and unneccessary) and the one where a guy donated his entire $800 purchase to charity after getting it for free.
I have to admit, I've started finding coupons now and matching them up with sales at stores. I really want to see if I can save money on the things I'd already be buying anyway. Particularly, I'm looking for health food coupons, because I'm not trying to fill my house with 95% crap food like most of the people on the show.
And I really want to do a huge trip and pay like $5 for it just cause I think that would be so cool. But I'd donate it all of course becuse I don't need that stuff.
ANYWAY, clearly I have too much to say about this.
i’ve been watching it for like 2 hours now! i can’t stop!! yeah, i think it’s only ok if you’re like the guy who made care packages for soldiers or something like that or you have a big family or something. but i know! most of the food they get is COM PLETE crap. no matter how low the price, it is not ok to buy 40 packages of hot dogs or vitamin waters. and i feel like it’s such a time commitment. idk, grocery shopping should not be your “life.” but i totally agree that it’s a great way to save some major money if your going to buy that stuff anyways. i kind of want to try it too! but i’m lazy and there’s a lot of math…
